Little bit of a story w. getting the tires on the rims though: (in point form becuase I don't feel like writing a book)

- went to my garage to pick up tires to take them up the street for mounting
- place up the street says they want $50/tire for mount and balance - - I say no dice
- call tire shop I usually deal w. and get busy signal (multipule times)
- call Mum to tell her what's up
- Mum gets me number of place we've used before (but haven't used in a while)
- alternate place says yea they can do it, $110 tax in = cool
- go to alternate place (about 15min away)
- alternate place says "these rims are prone to cracking when you take the tires off"
WHAT!!! - - yea, I know rite? I don't think so
- call guy I know that's on our local Euro's forum who works at one of the BMW dealerships' out-of-warranty service-centre and tell him what's up
- he says on one there has ever heard of this cracking issue, $25/tire mount+balance
- drive 10min to BMW related place and drop off rims and tires - - he'll call me later to go pick them up when they're ready
