Faymester's stay on Oahu 2011

Has it been raining there? It's been storming here every night. Hope it clears up for the weekend. Just had like 5-6 canoes arrive from across the pacific. There is gonna be a celebration on sunday. That means PARTY!

It rained a bit earlier on in the week ... usually just at night though.

Overall there are some sparce clouds but nothing too serious.

Well Hilo is known for raining "A LOT". lol

No there is gonna be a big party kind of thing over here on Big Island. Mostly gonna be polynesians though.

IDK about you but Hilo was pretty fun this past weekend. Saturday I just stayed home since my back was hurting. But sunday I got to go sail on the canoe from the Cook Islands a bit and then on Monday I ended up drinkin and chillin with all the crews at the local astronomy center.

I had a pretty good last few days too. Surfing and stand up paddle (more fun than it sounds for sure) and just general hanging around. Took a round-the-island drive too.

k so I'm not super big on taking pix but here is the view from my bedroom window ... I've always sort of ignored the mountains in Hawai'i but I think they're kinda neat now that I've looked at them.

It's funny too 'cause you look out the back at the hills and it's cloudy but then when you look out the front at the ocean it's sunny and beautiful (usually, lol)

I'd like to see a good turn out, but with the TFO show today, I don't expect it.

Times for these events have not been set. Usually 0900-1100. But I have conflicting engagements on some of these days (not sure which yet) and the times will be adjusted accordingly. We may also have a venue change to Manoa. That is also pending. But these dates are firm.

I told them a visiting member of mfest might stop by.

Most of them are members of Team BMW Hawaii. They got some pretty serious guys though. I know Joe is really knowledgeable about BMWs and he is the go to guy on BimmerForums in the Hawaii section. Other than that they are a tight knit group but I am certain they would invite you to chill and hang out for a while.
