After about a months worth of test driving m3's and s4's and a few evo's. I've come to the conclusion that I want an e46 m3 vert. (yay!)
My question is did they ever come is LSB? and are they rare or I just havnt seen one?? If like to do LSB w/ color coded wheel centers w/ black lips. A buddy of mine photoshopped one and it looks intense!

They did in the first half of the E46's life (production up 'till 2003.5) and after that you'll find them on Individual cars.

What about techno violet. W/ black lips and color coded centers? I've kinda had a techno violet epiphany!

Techno Violet is definitely a super cool color - I've only ever seen one and I definitely did a serious double take.

AFAIK that was only an individual color, not one of the standard color option.

If you're going to search for one of those in good shape, you may be searching for your car for quite some time; it may be far easier to buy an otherwise-in-good-shape car and have it painted.

LSB is one of those colours that is love it or hate it! I love it on the E46 M3 and especially on one that's been modified! a good friend of mine in the auto bodywork industry had one, lowered on some 3 piece gold centred 19inch BBS wheels!

As for Techno Violet, makes me miss my bro & sis in law's TV Alpina B3S we had.. it was exchanged for a E92 325 Diesel as much as my sis in law loved it, the $130 per week fuel bill for a 12 mile per day commute was just getting too much.

It's a really nice colour though, it changes from being lighter in bright sunshine to dark when overcast!

Good call Faymester on the potential to have a nice example of an M3 painted! but then, other potential fantastic colours become an option, both on other BMW individual colours or from other car marques colour palettes
