318ti Suspension Swap...

I'm contemplating on swapping my '89's stock suspension with a '96 318ti.
I've heard they can be swapped, no problem. But I'm curious if anyone has done this or knows anyone who has? I'm not sure but I think the wheelbase and most other measurements match up...
The main reason I want to make the swap suspentions is so I can have a 5 lug instead of 4.
Would it just be easier to swap hubs?

I personally would only swap hubs. Only because I picked everything for mine individually and absolutely love my set up. I have been thinking of doing a 5 lug swap but money is tight. My set up is basically m3 control arms, h&r sports, beilstien shocks, uuc adjustable sway bars, akg poly bushings. And its a even drop but I plan to install drop hats n the front one of these days.

Well, I started today. Found out that I can't swap only hubs. I actually have to use the whole strut assembly from the 318ti. The 3 bolts on top of the tower don't match up with the E30 holes... So we're gona have to drill some new ones... I'll post some pics in a day or two of my step by step progress...

Really I swear there was a swap u could do that was only for 5 lug. I don't think its from a ti but I never looked too much into it. Ill ask my old boss about it next time I call him & let u know. But yeah make a thread to help others that plan to do this way.

make sure u put n lots of details.
