ok, some new pictures

apparently this is what it looked like a while ago, stupid PO sent the black plates in to the DMV and they were destroyed. Interesting that it had frenched lights... (is it a sign?)

test fit the grill, need to do some more work first before it's final.

my old E24 shifter vs shifter that was in the car

a little shorter, I like it...

new door cards

so today we tried to change the brake and clutch fluid. Luckily a friend of mine let me borrow his low-profile jack as the one we had didn't work (another issue with one of the PO's, we think a kid owned the car in the 80s... cut springs)

jack on frame rail plus 2 jack stands just in case... and we chocked the passenger side rear wheel as both driver's side wheels were off the ground.

yeah, we need a new complete exhaust system. F the old one.

maybe some race headers too...

the block

oh look... no guard on the flywheel. stupid PO

found it in the trunk, back on

Steve bleeding the clutch fluid. Right after this picture was taken we realized the seal on the slave cylinder is bad, looks like time for a new one.

while bleeding the brake fluid we realized the seals on the reservoir are bad. Luckily those were ordered the other day so they should be in on Tuesday. Gave up on the brake system for now.

the craptastic caps on the reservoir, middle one is fine; it's just the outer ones that are bad.

Funny thing though, we got some BBQ sauce caps to fit on temporarily until I can grab some new ones on Monday from LJ Independent BMW (they have them in stock)

I guess I haven't updated this in a few weeks...

I called BBS and they claim I can get these RF's (15x6) to fit, but I might need Aplina fender flares. If I go flared I might try to get some 15x7 or 8 rears

they will go with the Wilwood BBK

Some more primer/working on the clutch

sanding

removed grills

more sanding

clean up all the dust

now for some primer

oh hello POS slave cylinder...

and now for some pics of the interior for those of you who've never been in a 2002

late 70's 911 seats

E30 rear bench

and the armrest works still!

original seat belts (I lol'd @ Made in W. Germany)

picked up correct passenger door inner handle ($10) from Autobahn and some freebies from LJ Independent (slave cylinder pushrod + new brake fluid reservior). A package came in w/new VCG, e-brake cables, 4 brake hoses, temperature sender, fuel filter, exhaust hangers and some other stuff, I can't remember right now. Also took of Solex carb and rebuilt it.

at some point soon we're going to have to make some new rear cards, will deal with that when we have time.

so we got the new slave in, but we're having sync problems. Need to find a clutch rebuild kit but the problem is because of the build date (11/68) we can't find the right one. Our fall back plan if we can't find one is to start searching for an E21 5-speed for swap

picked up some E24 rear buckets, need to be re-upholstered. Also we need to find the center armrest that goes with it so we can modify the plastic backing so they fit (not hard)

the new key to my heart
