Suggested tire sizes for stretched look on 17x8 Style 5

So my E39 is running on a set of 17x8 Style 5's with Hankook V12's in 235/45/17 and I want to get the stretched look....what tire size should I run for my car?

i have style 5s on my e36.
im running 205 40.
its stretched but not super stretched.

205/40 or 215/40 is the usual size for style 5 stretching. it'll look really awkward though if you're car isn't slammed, especially on an e39.

imo, keep the 235/45 and perfect the stance around that size tire. (coils and spacers)

yup! it does look awkward.
thats how my car sits as of right now.
unemployed student tryna buy coils.
it doesnt happen.

205/40 cut your springs to drop it a little if you do t have coils/springs already

lol blame it on the economy, speaking of slammed i recontly met a fellow E39 with that set up and he was super slammed no so sure i approved the look the style 5's look great on 3 series not the e39 however the slam was super eye catchy when i asked him what suspension he was running he said stock he just got the springs heated and he said the ride is not uncomfortable at all.... (bottoming out i consider uncomfortable) but to save some loot and slam the car this is the cheapest way to go lol
