E90 M3 Brakes: Ohhhhh, yes!

Hi All,
We installed the new brakes on the M3 Project last night. Brembo Grand Turismo carbon ceramic brakes all around. Front rotors are about 1" larger in diameter, and looks like about 50% more swept area (I haven't officially measured it all just yet). The front rotors weigh almost 10lbs less than stock and the rears weigh a little more than 10lbs less than stock (that, I did measure). The calipers are 6 piston monoblocks in front and 4 piston monoblocks in the rear. They come with new stainless brake hoses.
Haven't tried them on the road just yet. We still have to bleed the system and bed them in (hey, we have customer's cars to get to as well. Lol). But I will report back with road results.

Thanks,
Jon

Do you mind telling how much was the brake kit?

Please, post a performance review!
Very nice update on the project.

I don't know for sure how much the carbon-ceramic Brembo kit will be, since Brembo said they sent us the "first kit" for the U.S. I was told that it was "$30,000", but I don't know if I believe that.

When I was at Bimmerfest 2012 the Brembo rep told me that 4 rotors would cost $24k so that sounds about right. He also stated they will last 400,000 miles before replacement. Who will ever own this car with that many miles on it? Anyhow congrats on being the first.

Depending on which miles...
400,000 miles of track days or 400,000 miles of daily driving?
