BMW CCA will host the West Coast Summer Concours on the beautiful grass at Rancho Canada Golf Club in Carmel Valley. This is an ALL BMW event being held separately from Concorso Italiano. This premiere event will include Concours and picnic, a corral for the non-judged vehicles, vendor displays and guest speakers. Topics will include: restorations, detailing, market trends, and performance enhancements. The cost for this event is $50 PER CAR. Register at www.cccbmwcca.org

BMW CCA Festorics - Concurrent with the Historic Automobile Races at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, August 14-16

This year's BMW Festorics corral theme celebrates the Fabulous Fours, an homage to BMW's "middle" era in four-cylinder engined cars, from the impressionable model 1600, to the legendary S14 power-plant of the original E30 M3 .

Autocross, September 6, Auto Cross Speedway

Registration is open for our next autocross. Go to http://www.bmwclubla.org/calendar.php for more information. If you are using the Online registration system for the first time, you can find instructions here.

Everyone who attended the rally the day before the last autocross had a great time (even the few who saw more of Southern California then they were meant to see). So, we are looking into putting another pre-autocross rally together for your driving enjoyment. Stay tuned.

Cars N Coffee, Chili Cook Off, Clean Car Contest, September 12, Orange County

The day starts with an early morning gathering at the Ford PAG center in Irvine. BMW will be the featured marque for these Cars N Coffee event. Assigned parking registration/information will be available in mid-July.

Next on the schedule is the Los Angeles Chapter's (almost) annual Chili Cook Off and Clean Car Contest. We are hoping to reserve space at a more centrally located park in Orange this year. Dust off big iron kettle and start refining your chili recipes. And dust off your car and start shining it up.
Pre-registration is STRONGLY encouraged. Cost is $10/person which will be refunded to anyone who brings chili for judging. Click here for the registration form, or go to the Club Haus page of the website.

Nethercutt Collection and Nethercutt Museum Tour, October 10, Sylmar
We have reserved the entire morning tour at the Nethercutt Collection. Join us in a guided tour of one of the world’s most outstanding assortments of beautifully restored antique, classic and special interest automobiles, showcased in an exquisite re-creation of an opulent automotive Grand Salon of the 1920s and ’30s. Included in the tour are collections of automobile mascots, hood ornaments, antique furniture and mechanical musical instruments.

After a picnic lunch (provided) you can take a self guided tour of the Nethercutt Museum (just across the street). The Museum houses four eras (Antique, Vintage, Classic and Post-war) of automobiles as well as a comprehensive research facility which is considered one of the top ten automotive libraries in the world. The Library has archival materials on American and European marques predating the 20th century, technical manuals, complete runs of automotive trade journals, plans and engineering documents of automobile coach builders dating from 1900 to 1940, and much much more.

Entry to the Collection is by reserved time only and visitors must stay with the tour. The Museum is open all day and is self-paced. Lunch will be included.
Space is limited. Pre-registration required. Click here for the registration form, or go to the Club Haus page of the website.
