The stock intake system is based on vacuum. The stock air intake sucks in cold air as the entire system is sealed. The problem is when people install what we call "hot air intakes" on their cars, the ecu generally does two things. Expect 8whp+ @ 70mph. In most cases, you will get a historic code logged for "increased airflow" but its still within the stock parameters so there is no CEL. During diagnostics, it will show in the codes though.
