ooibhuskyoo's E36 325is (insert name here)

Hey, so I got bored during winter break, and I decided to write a build journal of my car here!

I bought my E36 in December 2004 after I crashed my Acura RSX in November. I am the 3rd owner of this BEAUTIFUL Mauritius Blue Metallic 325is. Actually, My mom was the one who talked me into getting a BMW since she said I needed to have a more "mature" car (ha!). The body was bone stock, but it had a few other modifications.

E36 325is December 2004:
BMP Design Cold Air Intake
BMP Design Front Strut Tower Bar
M3 Sport Suspension
M3 X Brace
Tinted Windows
M3 Exhaust
M3 S52 Headers
DEPO Euro Headlights
Clear Corners
Clear Taillights
M3 4-spoke Steering Wheel
Turner Motorsport Chip
Alpine Headunit
Custom 8" Stealth Subwoofer Boxes

I drove the car around like this for a little less than a year, and I decided that I wanted more. So, I decided mod'in the car just a little style-wise since the car already had a few performance upgrades.

E36 325is 2005:
M3 Rear Diffuser
M3 Front Lip
Yellow Lamin-X Foglights
Depo Clear Corners
CCFL Angel Eyes
17"x8.5" Breyton Inspirations
97-99 E36 Front Grills
Custom Sound System (upgraded to 2 10" Rockford Fosgate subs)

After this, I sort of gave up on my E36. It's automatic, I didn't have a good job, and I just started dating my GF, so I had no time to really work on my E36. I got lazy, stopped washing it, and basically let it go to sh*t. It wasn't until 2 years later when I saw a bunch of fixed up euros and also got in contact with Remo that I got back into the game.

E36 325is 2007-2008:
DDM Coilovers
DDM Exhaust
Black-out 97-99 Grills
M3 Bumper with Carbon Fiber Lip
M3 Mirrors
Color-Matched Side Skirts
Dinan Carbon Fiber Cold Air Intake
Custom System (upgraded to single 12" sub)

Then, the infamous day of July 16, 2009 came along, when the BMW's took over the Cerritos Euro Meets, and when I first met Chris, Toby, Jo, Eric, Ivan, and some other MFEST'rs and you guys urged me to join MFEST even though I didn't have an ///M. Well, this made me itch Bavarian blood, and stepped my game up a whole lot... And the rest they say, is history!

E36 325is 2009-present:
Corbeau TRS Racing Seats
Schroth 4-point Harness
Bavarian Autosport Performance Coils
Momo Tuner Racing Steering Wheel with Quick Release Hub
6000K HIDs
Custom Track Pipe
Go-mini-go Tow Hook License Plate Mount
ACS Gas and Brake Pedals
Carbon Fiber Hood with AeroCatch Hood Pins
Carbon Fiber Trunk
Carbon Fiber Roof Spoiler
MFEST Stickers all over the place

I would just like to thank everyone who supported me: My parents (financially), Cielo (the GF, emotionally), all my friends (who told me to not give up on my car), MFEST (for hella support), Remo and Liftwerkes (for installing everything on my car) for all of you!!

Well.. I guess.... TO BE CONTINUED!!!!!

Good mods bro! I think it will look better if the trunk is painted, remove those yellow headlights too. CF hood is fine but not CF trunk bro...

This is perfect imo, such more classy and clean:

Dear Calvin:

Good job on building your car, its awsome! someday i wish i can have my car looking like yours. You have come a long way in building your creation the way you wanted it to look. and you didnt take no crap even in this bad economy where its hard to stay afloat with a job, girl life . cuz if you got no money you got no honey (lol). like i said all bull**** aside cal my friend your car has indeed come a long way , but you as my friend has come even farther your a cool dude in my book . Someday i gonna have my car look as bad ass as yours
Sincerely CARYSM3
