I love the E34...don't you?

The E34, to me, is one of BMW's best engineered cars. I can see these living for many many many more years....

I've owned two E34's, loved them both. One of my favorite cars of all time.

Sort of off thread topic, but didn't know where else to ask.

Isn't a 5 series, 1987, an E28 chassis? I had a 535is and always thought it was an E28?

Anyone know? The main forum subject thread here indicates 1987 as E34. Not a big deal, just curiousity more than anything and wondering when the split to E34 is.

To answer your curiousity, e28's build date or from 1982 to 1988.

And yes, I have always love e34's. After seeing my first wagon that was a e34, I wanted one ever since.

Actually I still have an e34, still in the family back home in the Philippines. Euro smilies in-toe. I will look for some pics and post it up.

i had an e34 as a daily too, but i gave it to my dad who was in need of an automatic after he injured his left leg and he couldn't fully press the clutch on his e39.

i'm looking into getting into another one soon, maybe a 535i or a 540i.
