Apt Decorating Opinions needed!

Hey guys, this is COMPLETELY off topic, but me and my bf are having a bit of a decorating disagreement, so we decided the only way to solve this is to get an outside opinion (yes both of use want to just laugh at the other and say we were right) so…. Do you guys think that the iron candle things (right side of pic) in the pics below look good or just randomly placed?

I think it could work but the main thing is that it's a bit too high so it looks detached from the rest of the stuff. If you bring it down some it should look a lot better there. We had some stuff that were too high and it totally through off the rest of the room.

Personally I think something like that would look better on a smaller accent wall with a painting or something that can bring out some more color since there is so much red. If you want to stick with the candle thing then I would definitely bring it down some.

I think it looks nice. I would not want my wall too clustered.

oh and as for the candles..i agree with stack, if you are planning to keep them, bring it down a smidge.

sorry Henila... i dont think the candle holder should be on that wall... if you insist on hanging it there, do bring it down more like what Stack said. Plus, breaking the monotony of red wont hurt either =)

Hey, thanks for the reply... well they were on a smaller wall..but after redecorating we couldn’t put it back on that wall... I guess bf won lol.. shhh he doesnt need to know

Well the apt isn't all that red... He just took a pic of that section that's very red

whatever you decide to put in the place of the candles there is a hieght that interiors designers refer to as "Museum level" where you are looking at eye level at any decorative element.

the candles is not a bad element just bring it down to "museum level" and maybe change out the color of the candles to yellow or orange to bring some contrast against the red wall.
