MkII Navigation Questions

Since buying my car a few years ago now, I have not had the Navigation to Work. The Car came with the wide-screen monitor but everything in the trunk from Cd changer to Navigation computer was missing because all of these parts had been previously sold off. Nonetheless, I first bought a cd changer then was able to find a computer from a junk yard (which now I know is a MKII, but back then was not aware). I wanted the computer so that the navigation screen would work and never bothered to get the navigation itself to completely work (when placing in the CD, it always and still, shows my location as way off). Well, recently I was able to research a bit and found out that I'm also missing the Navigation GPS Antenna and the wire:

I know it is best to upgrade to a MKIV for the obvious reasons, and I probably might just do that in the future. But, for now I am curious to know if I can get the navigation to fully work by receiving the proper signal and all if I purchase those two items above. Also, where does the antenna plug into? Based on that last picture of the MKII computer, it does not look like there is any spot on it where one can plug the antenna in. Am I wrong?
