I've seen how Gintani superchargers perform (awesome but not what i'm looking for)... I've seen how the G-Power supercharger perform (again, a great supercharger but not what i'm interested in), i've seen how VF superchargers look (haven't seen much performance but a few friends just got theirs finished and i'll be asking them in the near future) AND FINALLY i've seen how the ESS kit performs, looks and feels (as a passenger).

I really could care less about dyno-junkies that want to make the most horsepower. I'm looking for reliability and a STOCK LOOK under the hood at this point. I'm not looking to race here and there or even hit the track that often. Just have the power to put down when and where i need it. With all those factors lined up, i've made my decision, as of this moment in time, that ESS is MY PERSONAL CHOICE!

If you like Gintani... cool deal, niterider & DLSJ5 both have a bad ass E9xM3's and they've been putting it down. If you like G-Power... Jon Martin has a beast of a car also... last I heard he was killin' the 60-130mph times. If you like VF, their kit looks promising, can't wait to see it perform.

Ok exactly well said. Its your PERSONAL preference. Again im not challenging YOU I want to be convinced in all ways so I know which company I should turn to for tune, or supercharger etc. Im trying to make a point that everyone should do their own research on whichever tune or any part that they wish to go for and not say whatever you have is the best just because you have it or whoever has it.

No, we have never damaged a single S65 or S85 engine. We have tested the S65 up to 9000RPM with no issues whatsoever. If you believe we have damaged an engine at 100RPM more than stock, you probably would not mind providing some proof of this? If not I would appreciate it if you stop spreading fabricated rumors.

Mike Benvo did some forum sales for us ~3 years ago, but we had to let him go after he vandalized one of our cars. He drove the first US R&D beta software, which is completely different than the current version we offer.
I am very glad you are chiming in I appreciate it just so you know. I will try to do research to prove this. I came here to ASK and I got an answer I appreciate which you said NO it has not happened.

Can I ask why the change in software please? Im curious

If you would like to prove otherwise, we will cover all costs associated with testing it, and even give you $1000 extra pocket cash on top of it if you are successful in proving this gain on an independent dyno with us present to witness it.
Are you aware of this tune they have to offer? If so, how are they able to do this then?

They are not IMHO. Again, it is not possible to get 30-40 honest WHP from the S65 engine with ECU tuning alone on 91AKI -Period. If you can prove otherwise with me as a witness you just won yourself 1000 bucks.

It is normal to develop and fine tune a new software over some time. We did not release the software for sale until it was ready. Benvo got to try the first R&D beta tune to provide feedback on 91AKI.

it's just not possible to pull 30-40 whp with a TUNE only.

I would like to see the dyno video/chart of a stock M3 making 30-40whp of a tune. I personally did the Dyno on JonMartin's car, and I have done over a dozen E9x dyno's. Ive had personal exp. as a dyno tech with each company's software and NO ONE has a 30-40whp tune.

My expertise is with the S54 but even with the limited knowledge I have on the S65 I can tell you right now there is no way. You need to do some homework about tunes and engine management. Instead of posting in here check out Wiki or Google some tech sites...

Im not sure if someone is telling this kid what to say in here or hes making it up as he goes along but its a good laugh.

No one is telling me to post here. I have questions that I want answered. If you think they are stupid or not it doesn't mean I don't have the right to post and ask, and you don't have to be rude about me asking. If you don't want to read then don't.

Heres the link from M3POST:
http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...owerchip+stage

MIXJA stated: The "Stage 3" name was probably started by me - yes I saw the dyno sheet and yes it added 40WHP. And yes I have this tune.

I haven't dyno'd it but my butt dyno says 30-35WHP. The car really pulls hard at high RPMs - interestingly though the dyno I saw showed a similar increase in torque across the entire RPM range - in my case low-mid torque feels similar to my original Stage 2 tune but once the car hits around 5500rpm it really starts to pull hard. The car actually feels similar to an M6 in terms of power delivery - I reckon it is almost as fast (as a stock M6).

I haven't seen any mention of this tune from Powerchip US - I'd love to see what they have to say about it.

One avenue to get further info on this might be to email Powerchip Australia - sales@powerchipgroup.com

that thread makes me lol... i'll wait to get proven wrong but at this point in time... i don't see that happening just like i don't believe powerchip or anyone else will be able to pull 40whp out of an NA motor, let alone the motor in the E9xM3

you can quote me on that also... i could care less if i look like an ass cause i'm not the only one who thinks it's impossible.
