Questions on best radar (+laser jammer) setup

In light of the topic I posted where I was selling the radars, this is asking something different.

If you were given, 1 or 2 or any of your choice of the following radars/laser jammers, which would you choose and why?
I know some of you are die-hard v1 fans, but we all know it isnt a laser jammer. However, since most of us are from CA, would having a laser jammer be necessary.

NOw you have to forget about PRICE....cause I am asking if all of them "cost" the same, free.

Passport SR7
Passport SRX
Passport ZR3
Passport 9500 Ci

Valentine V1...

or your other choice....

I would go with a Valentine 1 and couple it with the Laser Interceptor. If not the Laser Interceptor, I would go with the Passport SR7.

In the past 3 years I have received at most 3 hits of of LIDAR, and only once out of those 3 have confirmed the source of a LEO. In my opinion CA does not has enough LIDAR presence at the moment to use a jammer, unless you have extra money laying around.

so you are saying the v1 + the sr7? does the sr7 not do both?

with laser NOT that important, the v1 would then just be an ideal "choice" as there is no "need" for laser?

Well, I would go with the Laser Interceptor for a laser jammer coupled with the V1. For my second choice I would go with the SR7 + the V1. The reason I would keep the V1 is that the SR7 heads are mounted down by the license plate, which is good for LIDAR, but not for Radar. I would keep the V1 mounted high above RVM for Radar, and use the SR7 strictly for LIDAR jamming, although it would alert for radar after the V1 in most cases.

Yea, you main threat is Radar. If you have funds for both radar detector and laser jammer I would get both, but if you would like to buy one definitely go with the radar detector first. That will save you're butt much more often. V1 is currently rated the best detector at detector LIDAR so you still have a chance at escaping, however most of the time you're alerted to LIDAR, the LEO has already ranged your speed.

V1 first, Laser jammer second, both if you have funds

i thought it was funny, till i logiclly thought about it. the federal government regulates these for a reason, and therefor we would have THOUSANDS of people on the road who could potentially appear as hostile targets at ANY moment, but thanks for the read =)

My vote for the V1
Covers all bands of radar and laser
Identifies direction of signal, strength, and number of signals(picks up traps with multiple sources).
Multiple program modes
It seems that most of what we have to worry about is Ka wide band
Very good detection range, provides margin of safety and peace of mind.
Very few laser hits but you gotta hit the brakes when you get a signal

I agree! But remember the CHP are also doing more pacing as well & NOTHING can help you if your the only one on the road!
